Newcastle United are interested in signing highly-rated Brazilian winger Gabriel Pec, reports suggest.

Pec has impressed at MLS side LA Galaxy since joining in January.

The 23-year-old has scored 21 goals in 40 games across all competitions helping Galaxy reach the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Newcastle are in the market for a right winger and may take inspiration from their move for Miguel Almiron in 2019 who joined from MLS side Atlanta United for a then club record fee of £20million.

The Brazilian caught the eye of the MLS side during his time at Vasco da Gama - Pec ended up costing Galaxy £6.5m, a risky fee for that league which has clearly worked.

Newcastle United face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool for Gabriel Pec

Pec's success hasn't gone off the radar with Caught Offside reporting that several Premier League clubs are interested in the winger who bagged 14 MLS assists in the 2024 campaign.

Among those interested are Crystal Palace, Fulham and Wolves with big hitters like Arsenal and Liverpool also keeping tabs.

The interest doesn't just stop in England however, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Napoli are also scouting the 23-year-old.

Pec has been a key part of Galaxy's run in the MLS Cup this year and has the chance to win silverware with the club on Saturday as they take on New York Red Bulls.

Newcastle United keen on bolstering their right wing options

The Magpies are currently lacking natural quality on the right side of attack with players like Almiron and Jacob Murphy facing possible exits in January.

Alongside Pec, Newcastle are also interested in signing Premier League wingers Antoine Semenyo and Bryan Mbuemo.

Semenyo is enjoying a fine run in the Bournemouth squad this season but has a hefty £60m price tag on his head. Mbuemo is currently experiencing the best season of his top flight career.

The Cameroonian international has scored eight goals in 13 games this season, just one off his personal best in the league.

According to reports, Mbuemo will be available in January for around £50m.
