It's an all-Premier League fixture for Newcastle United in the next round of the FA Cup after seeing off League Two and then League One opposition.
Theo Walcott and Alex Scott didn't get the memo that we needed to draw a Championship side to continue the ramp up to Premier League opposition as they pulled the numbered balls from the bowl for the FA Cup fifth round draw, which inexplicably took place during The One Show and had that One Show stank all over it.
Picking out the home teams, Theo Walcott picked out the number 9 ball attributed to Newcastle and even gave a cheeky acknowledgement to Alan Shearer for drawing his side out as a home team.
With a couple of lower league teams yet to be drawn, Newcastle could have received a more favourable draw, but Alex Scott pulled out Brighton and Hove Albion's number.
The general consensus, at least among the circles of NUFC fans I roll in, was a resounding "we'll take it".
It's Premier League opposition, sure, but to be the best, you have to beat the best, and at least we avoided the likes of Manchester City.
Incidentally, City were handed a home tie too, but it will be giant-killers Plymouth who travel to the Emirates to try and do to them what they did to Liverpool on Sunday.
The full draw is as follows:
Preston v Burnley
Aston Villa v Cardiff
Doncaster or Palace v Millwall
Man Utd v Fulham
Newcastle v Brighton
Bournemouth v Wolves
Man City v Plymouth
Exeter or Forest v Ipswich
The ties are to be played over the first weekend of March. HOWAY THE LADS!
