Newcastle United continue to build up a list of targets for a summer spending spree after three transfer windows with little for fans to shout about.

There are several positions that need addressing in Newcastle's squad this summer with a right winger a high priority along with back up for Alexander Isak.

Media outlets have been debating what the Magpies' plan of attack could be when it comes to recruiting a forward this summer.

Will they go for a striker and a winger, or find themselves someone who can do both? A lot will depend on which current players remain with Callum Wilson's future up in the air.

Could Newcastle bring Moise Kean back to the Premier League?

Moise Kean is reportedly being watched by Newcastle

Should Newcastle offer Callum Wilson a new contract, the need to find an out-and-out striker is diminished slightly, and Newcastle can look to recruit a versatile forward who can play right wing but also cover the centre-forward gap.

One player on Newcastle's radar is Fiorentina's Moise Kean who is deployed more as a centre-forward these days, but has played on the flanks in the past, most notably during his time at Everton which saw the italian loaned to Paris Saint-Germain and then Juventus before making that latter move permanent.

Kean is now impressing at Fiorentina having scored 19 goals this season in all competitions, making Newcastle take note according to Give Me Sport.

Kean 'fits the profile' of what Newcastle are looking for in a striker

Their report suggests that Kean fits the profile of the type of striker Newcastle are looking for, but they also state that he hasn't been identified as a firm target as things stand.

Kean showed signs that he had potential while at Everton without really attracting too much attention, but he's clearly grown into his game over the last few years and the 25-year-old is about to make his return to the game after suffering a bad head injury in the game against Hellas Verona last month which saw him stretchered off.

We're currently taking this one with a pinch of salt. We can see how Kean could fit into the Newcastle squad, but if he is on the wishlist, we expect he'll be quite far down the list as things stand.
