There's still a long way to go before we find out what Newcastle United will be wearing on the pitch next season, but the leaks and rumours have started already.

The internet is awash with concept kits of varying levels of quality, but NUFC Gallowgate on X have shared images of what they claim to be the actual away kit for next season.

We'll take it with a pinch of salt for now as it's still very early, but in all honesty, we've got our fingers crossed that there's at least some truth to it because it's absolutely gorgeous.

More importantly, it's not green. Ever since the 2021 takeover, Newcastle have had some form of green kit to appease our Saudi overlords, and for whatever reason, we've played terribly almost every time we've worn them.

The dark blue kit is absolutely stunning

This 'leaked' kit shows a dark blue design with a subtle brick pattern to represent the brickwork of St James' Park.

The collar, adidas trefoil logo and Sela sponsor are all white, and the club has gone with the late 70's magpie crest this time around, last seen on the neck of last season's shirt.

If this is to be next season's away shirt, then we absolutely love it. But we're not holding our breath.

There are some red flags that have made us question the legitimacy of the 'leak'

Unfortunately, a closer look at the images reveals a couple of massive red flags. Near the club badge on the image on the left, there's a weird artefact that suggests the image is AI-generated.

Also, the bottom of the shirt has a logo that is inconsistently placed.

It's a huge shame, as of all the concept kits we've seen so far, this one has been the most convincing and probably the nicest.
