Newcastle United helped themselves to four more goals at St James' Park on Saturday, this time at the expense of Tottenham Hotspur who couldn't muster a reply.
Spurs were pretty wasteful in front of goal with Martin Dubravka having a quiet day thanks to the wayward finishing of Timo Werner and the resolute defending of Eddie Howe's makeshift defence.
Up the other end, Newcastle were having the time of their lives and in truth, could have had way more than the four goals they came away with.
Alexander Isak managed to bag himself two more goals, keeping the pressure on Erling Haaland in the race for the golden boot, although the Nordic Cyborg did bag another one from the spot against Luton today.
After the game, TNT Sports were gushing about Isak with Peter Crouch comparing him to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. It's not the first time those comparisons have been made, but his calmness in front of goal is very Henry-esque.
“How many times did you see Thierry go through on goal and panic? It’s the same with Isak, if he goes through on a one-on-one you’re just always confident he’ll score.
“He’s someone I just love watching, so calm when he gets in those positions, obviously he cut Van de Ven up a few times today and he seems to just do the right decisions all the time, when he goes through one-on-one he’s so calm and just knows he’s going to score.
“Great feet and he just leads the line so well, it’s a difficult thing to do as a centre forward to lead the line on your own.”
Adding to the pundits' praise was Anthony Gordon who claims that Isak is one of the best in the world.
“It’s hard to describe, you don’t need me to tell you he’s so, so gifted, he can be one of the best players in the world.
“When he stays fit he’s so, so good to play with, the assist I got for him, I just passed him the ball and he sat a few players down so that was all him. What a player and more importantly what a person.”
