Newcastle United definitely seem to be stepping up their efforts to land a new striker next summer as the Magpies are now linked with Bundesliga star.
With Callum Wilson proving to be a huge liability again when it comes to his availability and Alexander Isak hardly being a the paragon of fitness since his arrival at St James' Park, Newcastle's striking options are limited.
Whether or not Eddie Howe can finally bring himself to part with Callum Wilson next year is irrelevant, the fact is that Newcastle need a new striker.
The Magpies are already being linked with Lille striker Jonathan David and are believed to be one of the clubs currently in talks with his people over signing a pre-contract agreement in January ahead of a summer 2025 move.
Thankfully, it appears that Paul Mitchell isn't putting all his eggs in one basket with Give Me Sport reporting that Newcastle are eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush along with West Ham and Aston Villa.
The Hammers missed out on signing Jhon Duran from Villa in the summer and now the Colombian is hitting superb form for the Villans, however that's not stopped them from eyeing Marmoush.
So far this season, Marmoush has scored six goals and provided five assists in just seven games. He registered four of those goal contributions in a recent 4-2 victory over Holstein Kiel.
Give Me Sport believe it would take a bid of around £40 million to get Frankfurt to part with the 25-year-old Egyptian as the clubs weigh up a summer raid.
Newcastle have often looked towards the Bundesliga for striking options having previous been linked with Serhou Guirassy, Victor Boniface, and Benjamin Sesko all having been linked to the Magpies at various points over the past couple of years.
Given that Newcastle are already at the point of having to play Anthony Gordon up front, a new striker is definitely high on the priority list despite the arrival of Will Osula in the summer.
