'Must be a concern': Chris Sutton takes Newcastle United's away form into account when prediction score against Brentford

Brentford host Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday live on Sky Sports, with a kick-off time of 2pm.

Newcastle were battered by the Bees at the G-Tech Community Stadium last season 4-2, which is a massive worry going into this game, given our away form this season.

Normally, we'd give Eddie Howe's lads every chance to put things right, but honestly, unless we're playing at St James' Park this season, we just can't back us to get the win.

In fact, we can't even back our lads to even score, and neither, it seems, can Chris Sutton.

Chris Sutton can't see Newcastle scoring on Sunday

Writing his prediction for the BBC, Chris Sutton uses Newcastle's dire away form to inform his decision and we don't blame him.

"I didn't recognise Newcastle when I watched them lose at West Ham last weekend.

"They were better when they beat Athletic Club at St James' Park in the Champions League in midweek, but their away form - or lack of it - must be a concern for boss Eddie Howe.

"They are still solid defensively most of the time but scoring goals seems a particular problem for them when they are on the road. I can see why from watching that West Ham game because they just did not work the goalkeeper enough.

"The way Brentford play under Keith Andrews, he is happy to set them up to play on the counter-attack even when they are at home, and I can see Newcastle struggling to break them down too.

"I know I have gone for a few draws already this week, but this game smells of another one to me.

Anything can happen

We hate to say it, but we'd take 0-0 going into this one. Obviously, if we're the better team on the day and we come away with just a point and no goals, we're going to be livid.

At a certain point, though, things have to start clicking on the road, right? Why not on Sunday? We do like to sign off for the International break with a nice bit of momentum so that we curse the break even more.

By the way, the BBC also has an AI prediction for each game and Skynet has us winning 3-1, which is exactly why I don't currently fear the AI uprising.
