We were thoroughly caught up in the despair on Monday, and that haze is only just starting to lift now. There's still some way to go, but we're starting to get a grip again, just in time for Wednesday's game against PSV.
However, local journalist Ben Spratt raised a very good point on X that was then piggybacked on by Luke Edwards. Spratt noted that since the November international break, Newcastle are in the Premier League's top three for points accrued, goals scored and goal difference.

Quite often, it feels like Luke Edwards can just be on the windup, trying to fish for a social media fight, even though what he says is often a harsh reality more than rage bait. This time we think he's absolutely spot on.
