London media are at it again - New report suggests Newcastle United transfer rumour opens door for Alexander Isak to Arsenal

We honestly thought we were done with this silliness, but there is a London-based outlet that just loves making a fool of themselves when it comes to Arsenal signing Newcastle United's Alexander Isak.

For a long time Alexander Isak was being touted as a target for Arsenal. At the time, Newcastle were struggling to find form and Arsenal were in the midst of a title challenge. The Gunners had convinced themselves that Isak would walk to Arsenal to be part of their squad.

Newcastle's form picked up, Arsenal's dropped and as the Magpies went on to lift the Carabao Cup, Arsenal almost lost their grip on second place in the Premier League.

All the silly talk of Isak leaving for Arsenal stopped. It still continues to a degree with Liverpool, but it's nowhere near as egregious as the Arsenal stories.

Football.London won't let it lie when it comes to Alexander Isak

One outlet had a pretty good track record of putting two and two together and coming up with orange, and after a period of silence, they're back at it.

Football.London simply does not care about embarrassing themselves, as is evident by their latest piece on Isak.

Taking a report from Sussex World, in which they cover Brighton's bid for Charalampos Kostoulas, which they say could pave the way for João Pedro to join Newcastle, in Football.London has extrapolated that dataset even further to include Arsenal.

Research? What's that?

A quick Google of João Pedro to Newcastle would reveal that the Magpies want the Brazilian to compete with Isak, or play alongside him. He is not a replacement.

Newcastle, we thought, couldn't have made it any clearer that Alexander Isak is not for sale, but London.Football (who come under the same umbrella as The Chronicle by the way, so they aren't just a couple of Arsenal fans in a basement making rage bait), didn't get the memo.

We're genuinely not sure if they are rage-baiting, clinging on to hope or if they genuinely believe what they're saying, but I will give them massive credit, because they got my click, my response and as a result, I have to link to their story, so well played, I suppose.

Still, while I admire your scheme, you're still not getting Alexander Isak.
