Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest meet in the Champions League Six-Pointer on Sunday at St James' Park - Kick-off is at 2pm live on Sky Sports.

Both sides are gunning for a place in Europe's top competition, with Forest holding the upper hand as things stand. Currently six points ahead of Newcastle and sitting in third place, Nuno Espirito Santo's side will be hoping to increase that gap to nine points.

Newcastle have a lot of making up to do after last week's embarrassing showing, but thanks to our paper-thin squad, there's not much scope for Eddie Howe to shake things up.

We had our prediction very wrong last week as Howe tweaked the formation, but given it was such a big disaster, we expect he'll revert to type on Sunday.

Stick with 4-3-3

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka - After signing a new contract at the club we expect Dubravka to keep his place in the side despite conceding four last week.

Defenders

Tino Livramento - Tino looked much better than Kieran Trippier last week so we expect he's played his way back into the starting lineup.

Fabian Schar - Probably edges out Emil Krafth for us purely because it's predicting what Eddie Howe will do.

Dan Burn - Wasn't awful last week. Wasn't great, but one of the best of the worst for sure.

Lewis Hall - Like most of his teammates, has some making up to do after last week.

Midfielders

Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Bruno was anonymous last week but vowed to fight back.

Sandro Tonali - Another one who was rotten at the Etihad but we know he can make up for it.

Lewis Miley - Only played the second 45 last week but was by far Newcastle's best player. Has to start on Sunday.

Forwards

Jacob Murphy - We can't see Eddie Howe tweaking the front three.

Alexander Isak - Which means Callum Wilson will be on the bench.

Anthony Gordon - As will Harvey Barnes.

Barnes and Wilson off the bench could be huge for Newcastle, though, so it's good to have those types of options back.

Joe Willock is more effective from off the bench too, so Eddie Howe will be able to change things up if needed.
