Newcastle United are back in Premier League action this afternoon as they take on West Ham United at the London Stadium - Kick-off is at 2 pm, live on Sky Sports.

Eddie Howe has shuffled the pack once again after making a raft of changes in midweek for the Carabao Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton return to the midfield alongside Sandro Tonali to give the side a more familiar look.

As expected, Jacob Murphy accompanies Anthony Gordon, flanking Nick Woltemade up front.

Kieran Trippier misses out through illness as Lewis Hall returns to the squad

It's in defence where the surprises come, however, as Emil Krafth starts on the right side of defence with Kieran Trippier nowhere to be seen, with the club confirming on X that he's suffering from illness.

Big Dan Burn keeps his place at left back, but Lewis Hall returns to the match-day squad after his hamstring injury.

Malick Thiaw and Sven Botman have the task of protecting Nick Pope between the sticks.

Callum Wilson starts for West Ham

Former Newcastle No. 9 Callum Wilson starts for the Hammers as Nuno Espirito Santo names a strong side, with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta also big threats.

They have the players to do some damage, but things just aren't going West Ham's way this season, and Newcastle should have more than enough to pick up their first away win in the Premier League this season.
