On Monday, it was speculated that Bradford City were set to take two Newcastle United players on loan for the rest of the season.

This morning, we got confirmation on one of those moves with midfielder Joe White having completed a move to the Bantams.

White spent the first half of the season on loan at Leyton Orient, where he played just four times for the O's, causing Newcastle to recall the 23-year-old.

Bradford City announced the arrival of Joe White on Tuesday morning.

Bradford have been keeping tabs on Joe White for a while

Bradford manager Graham Alexander said they had been looking at White for a while before making their move.

"Joe is a player we have admired for a while and we believe his creativity will bring an added dimension to our team."

This will be Joe White's sixth loan move since joining Newcastle United from Carlisle in 2016.

Joe White has made four first-team appearances for Newcastle United

In addition to his many loans, White has made four appearances for the Newcastle United first team, albeit for a combined total of 12 minutes.

He has been one to watch for a while, but we can't help but feel a loan to League One suggests that the Magpies may be starting to lose faith.

We'd expect a loan to a Championship side at least if we genuinely saw him as a player who'd be making a step up to the first team on a more regular basis.
