Last season Real Madrid brought former Newcastle United striker Joselu back home for a season-long loan in a move that broke Newcastle fans' brains.
Joselu has gone down in Newcastle's history as one of the worst strikers we've had in the 2000s.
The Spaniard was signed from Stoke City for £5million by Rafa Benitez in 2017 and the forward made 52 appearances for Newcastle scoring just seven goals and racking up two assists.
However, it was clear that Benitez knew something that we all didn't as when Joselu moved back to Spain, initially with Alaves then Espanyol, he became a completely different animal.
Not only did Joselu's goalscoring form earn him his first ever full Spain call-up becoming their oldest ever debutant when he came off the bench in Spain's game against Norway just two days before his 33rd birthday.
Joselu went on to score twice in that game absolutely blowing people's minds, especially Newcastle fans.
This form made Real Madrid take note and bring the striker in for a second spell after he previously represented Real Madrid B team between 2009-2012.
The season-long loan from Espanyol would see Joselu representing the Real Madrid first team this time and he went on to bag 17 goals and three assists in 49 appearances. He's also found himself in the preliminary Spain squad before Euro 2024.
Now it looks like, despite signing Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid want to make Joselu's switch permanent in a £1m deal according to The Athletic.
They probably want him around to teach that Mbappe kid a thing or two.
