Newcastle United have been pretty unfortunate when it comes to injuries already this season, with Yoane Wissa, Jacob Ramsey, and now Tino Livramento all picking up knocks that have led to many games being missed.

Livramento is set to miss around 10 games after picking up a knee injury against Arsenal last weekend.

Jacob Ramsey had barely got his boots dirty at Newcastle before he picked up a knock that has kept him sidelined, while Yoane Wissa got crocked on international duty just days after signing for the club and is yet to make his debut.

However, one of those two is set to return to the squad on Sunday, according to Sky Sports' Keith Downie

Jacob Ramsey is expected to be part of Sunday's squad

Jacob Ramsey was due to return after the upcoming international break, but it looks as though he will now return to the bench for Sunday's game against Nottingham Forest.

Whether he gets on the pitch will be for Eddie Howe to decide, but if he's not needed in the game, it may be sensible just to wait until after the international break to give him a bit more time to make sure everything is fine.

Unfortunately, though, it looks as though we're going to have to wait even longer to see Yoane Wissa in a black and white shirt.

Yoane Wissa will have to wait to show his new club what he can do

It appears that the DR Congo striker has suffered a setback and is now not expected to make his return until November after originally being pencilled in for a return for the Brighton game, which will be the first game after this international break.

Thankfully, Nick Woltemade is doing a solid job leading the line for Newcastle right now, and Will Osula looks to be getting better with every game, having scored three goals this season and registering a nice assist in the 4-0 win against Union Saint-Gilloise on Wednesday.

This little injury crisis has emphasised why it was so important that Newcastle recruited well in the summer, bringing in six quality players. Last season, if we'd had three injuries to first team players we'd be in panic mode by now, but now we have the depth to cope.
