Newcastle United still need to make up £30million to ensure they will avoid any potential penalties and alleviate PSR concerns, reports suggest.

Like many teams in the Premier League over the last 12 months, the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules have forced them into selling assets and most recently conducting PSR-friendly deals between other clubs for youth players at inflated fees.

It's cheeky but effective and it's forced the Premier League to take a look at it.

Other clubs affected by these PSR issues are Everton, West Ham, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

Yankuba Minteh is set to leave Newcastle, Everton the priority.

The Magpies need to sell, it's as simple as that. Sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs took to X to post that between now and the financial year cutoff (June 30) Newcastle still need to make up £30m to ensure they're safe.

Jacobs stated that June 30 isn't a hard deadline since 'near miss' business can still be declared.

Yankuba Minteh who spent last season on loan at Feyenoord is looking increasingly likely to leave the club this summer despite a breakdown in talks between Newcastle and Everton earlier this week.

A deal could be struck in the next few days with the Magpies hoping for at least £30m for the 19-year-old Gambian international.

Who else could leave Newcastle to relieve PSR worries?

There are several players who could leave the club this summer with their contracts running down.

Callum Wilson looks set to leave in the summer after posting a cryptic picture on Instagram yesterday.

Local lad Sean Longstaff is another player who could be shown the door this summer. The Geordie is out of contract at the end of next season and could look for another club following a shaky season.

Paraguayan international Miguel Almiron looks tipped to leave with the Magpies looking to bring in a new right-wing option to bolster their attacking options. Fans shouldn't expect a deal for Miggy anytime soon due to his participation in the Copa America.
