Jamaal Lascelles suffers nightmare 15 minutes on second appearance for Leicester City after leaving Newcastle United
Leicester City signed Jamaal Lascelles from Newcastle United at the end of the January window, bringing an end to almost 12 years at the club.
Jamaal Lascelles was the club captain and an important figure behind the scenes at Newcastle, but he was being kept away from the pitch to ensure he was fit enough to secure a move away from the club before his contract expired in the summer.
A move to troubled Leicester City materialised just a couple of days before they were hit with a six-point deduction for breaching PSR rules.
Lascelles made his debut in the 2-1 defeat to Birmingham City at the weekend, and things didn't get any better for the 32-year-old last night.
Leicester City blew a three-goal lead, with Southampton scoring three goals after Jamaal Lascelles entered the field
Leicester roared into a 3-0 lead within half an hour at home to Southampton last night with fans signing about wanting a 9-0 win.
They wouldn't be signing at full-time, though, as Leicester let that lead slip in spectacular fashion with the Saints coming away as 3-4 winners.
Jamaal Lascelles didn't start the game, but was brought on at around the 75-minute mark with the score at 3-1 and was part of the defence that crumbled and allowed Southampton to steal the win.
You know what to do, Jam
That's a pretty hard day at the office for the big man, but it's not surprising given how little he's played this season.
It's obviously not all Lascelles' fault and we're the timings are just a coincidence. Right?
Maybe Big Jam needs to get on the TV and blast his new teammates as he did with ours that time. It worked for us.
