Chelsea closed the gap on Newcastle United on Sunday after beating champions Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield.
The two sides are now on the same points and same goal difference as they head into next weekend's fixtures, where the two sides will meet.
Newcastle have the home advantage with the 12pm kick-off on Sunday, live on TNT Sports from St James' Park.
The Magpies will be banking on a huge atmosphere to push them on against a resurgent Chelsea side who have woken up to challenge the Champions League places.
A win for either side would hand them the advantage in the race for those Champions League places, as the pack is so tight right now with just three games remaining.
Fortunately, Big Dan Burn isn't so worried telling Newcastle World that he feels the lads are in a good place, mentally heading into he game.
“As long as we’re picking up points and ticking over, that’s what you want. We’re always quite a positive group who believe what the gaffer is doing. We always feel like we’re mentally where we want to be.
“It is a cup final, really - it’s huge. I never really worry about us mentally going into those games, playing at home in front of the crowd knowing they’ll be buzzing for it as well.”
The Champions League chase picture has a chance to change again tonight with Nottingham Forest in action against Crystal Palace, who are pulling no punches in their final few games.
It's absolutely going down to the wire with Arsenal pretty much dragged into the melee now after a couple of poor results.
At least there's still something to get excited about with the league title and relegation places all sorted.
