If you've been a regular reader of NUFC Feed over the last year you'll be aware of our deep love of Newcastle United star Joelinton.
The versatile Brazilian has burrowed his way into our hearts since Eddie Howe took over, and the former Bournemouth gaffer transformed him from a laughing stock forward to a feared battling midfielder.
So when the topic of discussion during a game is how poor Joelinton has been, you know he must have been poor.
It seemed that nothing he did against Crystal Palace was working and at the time we knew he was bad ... but we didn't realise just how bad.
X account @Statmusefc pointed out just how terrible J7 was against Palace.
"Joelinton vs Crystal Palace:
"0 goals
"0 assists
"0 shots on target
"0 chances created
"0/3 crosses
"0/5 dribbles
"0/8 ground duels won
"He is the first player to put up those numbers in a single PL game this decade."
That ending statement is actually devastating. Poor Joey has written himself into the history books in the worst way with an extremely off-kilter performance.
He's not looked anywhere near his best for most of this season. He's had a couple of solid games, but for the most part he's been well off it.
Being victimised at home with repeated break-ins probably isn't helping his focus, so for that we can make some allowances, but his poor performances started before the recent burglary.
We hope the big man can bounce back and get back to the big smiley Brazilian beast we all know and love soon.
