Is this the most breathtaking video of Sela's SJP drone display yet?

Sela, Newcastle's front-of-shirt sponsor for 2023/24 and beyond, have now released stunning 4K footage of their drone display from above St. James' Park on Monday evening.

Only one of the two planned displays went ahead

There was real excitement around the city ahead of the two planned drone displays from the Saudi events company, with the first pencilled in for 8 p.m. and the second scheduled for 9.45 p.m. (both times BST).

Even though the club formally announced the plans quite late on Monday afternoon, giving people little time to get to a good vantage point, the turnout in the city for the eight o'clock show was surprisingly large.

The weather then intervened, sadly, meaning anyone who was hoping to watch the later display was left disappointed. Luckily, beautiful 4K footage of the display now exists on Sela's social media channels.

The events company first posted a 60-second clip of the display to its official X account in 1080p (HD), before uploading a superb 2160p (4K) version to its official YouTube account soon after:

The displays were timed to coincide with Newcastle's return to the UEFA Champions League after two decades, though Uefa blocked Sela from holding them above St. James' Park on the night of the game.

Instead of looking to the skies, Magpies supporters will be treated to Wor Flag's largest in-stadium display yet for the visit of Paris Saint-Germain and superstar Kylian Mbappé in a game that one insider said the club could have sold out "two times over".
