As the divide between clubs and their fans grows ever wider with the spiralling costs of supporting your beloved team, there's never been a better time to lend your voice to the fight.
Fan groups are becoming more and more important to get the voices of the people heard in the boardrooms of clubs up and down the country.
For Newcastle United fans, their biggest voice is the Newcastle United Supporters Trust who are in regular communication with the club over matters important to the fans.
There's never been a better time to become a member as the NUST are currently standing side-by-side with the Football Supporter's Association in their fight against clubs passing on their costs to fans as part of their Spot Exploiting Loyalty campaign.
Meanwhile the Trust itself is about to hold its annual board election which you can be a part of. All members can put themselves forward to be elected to the board for the coming year.
If you're not a member you can join up here. You'll need to be quick if you want to stand for election yourself with the closing date for applications fast approaching - details here.
"At the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST), our mission is to champion the interests and passion of Newcastle United’s loyal supporters through a forward-thinking, democratically governed, and legally constituted non-profit organisation. We are dedicated to acting as responsible guardians of the club’s future, ensuring that Newcastle United is run competently and in the best interests of its supporters."
To vote in the elections, you of course will need to be a member too. The more voices the better.
The current chair of the NUST, Paul Karter, also serves on the Fan Advisory Board and is often consulted on all things Newcastle United, so not only will your voice be heard at the Trust, there's a direct line to the NUFC board.
Have you got the next big idea for Newcastle United but didn't know how to get your point across to the club? The NUST has you covered.
Join up now and put yourself forward for a position on the board. It's more important than ever that fans voices be heard.
