Harvey Barnes to start: Our predicted Starting XI for Newcastle United to take on Leeds United on Wednesday
Newcastle United take on Leeds United on Wednesday night, live on Sky Sports, with a kick-off time of 8:15 pm.
Newcastle are hoping that the wins against Burnley and Crystal Palace were the start of a solid run of form to propel them up the Premier League table.
However, they are coming up against a very stubborn Leeds United side, who are undefeated in seven games and have taken points off some of the big boys of late.
Eddie Howe has a few calls to make with the likes of Tino Livramento and Kieran Trippier back from injury, but we believe Lewis Miley has been simply too good to drop.
Goalkeeper
Nick Pope - Nick Pope's return to the starting lineup brought about the first clean sheet since October. Coincidence?
Defenders
Lewis Miley - He just can't be dropped, he's been far too good.
Malick Thiaw - Likewise, Thiaw is a permanent fixture in the starting lineup these days.
Fabian Schar - Sven Botman is back, but we think Fabi has done well enough to keep his place ahead of the Dutchman.
Lewis Hall - Had an uncharacteristically sub-par game against Crystal Palace, but we back him to bounce back.
Midfielders
Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Captain Fantastic was on form on Sunday and will no doubt be buzzing to go again.
Sandro Tonali - This is where Lewis Miley could potentially move to if Eddie Howe wants Tino Livramento back in the lineup. Tonali hasn't been great of late.
Joelinton - J7 was outstanding on Sunday, proving once again that you can never write the big man off.
Forwards
Harvey Barnes - Jacob Murphy's hamstring injury isn't thought to be bad, and he is in contention. However, his performance was shocking on Sunday, so Barnes has to be in for this one.
Nick Woltemade - We were surprised to see Yoane Wissa start two games in a row. We don't see him making it three.
Anthony Gordon - We're still waiting for him to wake up this season, but who else is Howe going to play?
Once again, we'll have options on the bench, and as long as it's done at the right time, bringing Yoane Wissa on when Leeds are starting to tire would be a great move from Eddie Howe.
