Newcastle United travel to Brighton in search of their first Premier League win at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday - Live on Sky Sports, Kick-off: 2pm.

Manchester City moved into third place on Friday night after scraping a 1-0 win over Wolves, which should be an extra incentive for the Magpies to win on Sunday to reclaim their place in the Champions League chase driving seat.

That being said, Newcastle just need to focus on their games and not pay much notice to the teams around them. If we can win our last four games (which is a big ask) then nothing else matters.

The Magpies returned to winning ways last weekend, which is a boost going into this tough fixture, and after listening to Eddie Howe on Friday, it seems like he's going to stick with the same XI as last week with Joe Willock and Harvey Barnes remaining in the side.

Same as last week for NUFC

Goalkeeper

Nick Pope - No real doubt about this one

Defenders

Kieran Trippier - Two assists last week certainly won't have hurt his confidence as the Trippier revival continues.

Fabian Schar - Sven Botman came through his cameo last week feeling good, but it's too soon for him to start we reckon, so Howe will stick to the same centre-backs.

Dan Burn - It would be very harsh on Burn to be shoved out of the team for Sven Botman with the season he's having.

Tino Livramento - Livramento is loving left flank life lately.

Midfielders

Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Bruno is hoping to guide Newcastle to a cup win and Champions League in his first season as captain - it's time to lead!

Sandro Tonali - The Italian is starting to melt Rich's icy heart lately, so he must be doing well.

Joe Willock - We wanted to put Lewis Miley here but Eddie Howe was very complimentary about Willock on Friday, like he was justifying his selection for the rest of the season.

Forwards

Jacob Murphy - Won the penalty last week, which may not count as an assist, but he was involved, so it counts for us.

Alexander Isak - We need to get him into games more, the poor lad is isolated again. We can't rely on winning penalties for him to score.

Harvey Barnes - Still hasn't done anything to suggest that Anthony Gordon should be reinstated.

Matt Targett is out for the season (I know, it's a huge shock), and last week that meant John Ruddy joined the bench along with Martin Dubravka. We just hope that this week we're not putting two 'keepers on the bench, it's a waste of space.

We have some fantastic young players who would love just to be part of a match day squad, fill the gaps with them. Trevan Sanusi is back, Leo Shahar has been training with the first team for a while, Sean Neave has filled in on the bench plenty of times. Stop this two goalkeepers nonsense.
