Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has provided an injury update on several players ahead of the Magpies game against Fulham on Saturday.

Injuries have been a common occurrence for Newcastle this season. Once again, Howe has to give fans updates on star players.

Howe spoke to press this morning looking ahead to Newcastle's important game against Fulham, the Magpies won 3-0 in the reverse fixture and recently beat Fulham 2-0 in the FA Cup fourth round at the Cottage.

Livramento and Almiron out for a month

In the presser, Howe clarified that both players will be out for around a month due to injuries they picked up in the thrilling 4-3 win against West Ham.

On Liveramento, Howe said: "Tino's was quite obvious when you looked back at the footage.

"Strange really as the ball hits his ankle before it hits the floor.

Thankfully it's not as serious as it could have been. He could be back quite quickly."

On Almiron: "Miggy tweaked his knee slightly.

"Again, not a serious injury but enough to keep him out."

"We anticipate he'll be part of the group."

Callum Wilson is making progress

Fans haven't seen Callum Wilson since the 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest in February after a bizarre upper limb injury. But the England international could return towards the end of the season.

On Wilson: "He's looking good. Of course it's an upper limb injury so he can keep fit and build his strength.

"He'll be looking good when he comes back."
