Former England left-back Ashley Cole has been waxing lyrical about £32m Newcastle United star
So far this summer, the most worrying transfer story as a Newcastle United fan has been that Manchester City are keen on Tino Livramento.
After weathering the storms of all of the relentless Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Alexander Isak rumours, it's this Tino Livramento one that has us most worried.
We're pretty confident that Newcastle will reject any offers for the England U21 star, but we can't help but worry that Tino may start to wonder about life at City under Pep Guardiola.
Livramento's display for England U21S on Thursday night won't have helped the situation either, with the Newcastle full-back coming in for heaps of praise for his scintillating performance.
Ashley Cole couldn't praise Tino Livramento enough
If nothing else, it should just reinforce Newcastle's resilience to ensure they keep hold of him, and in truth, Livramento has only ever spoken about winning more trophies with Newcastle and helping the club kick on.
However, former England left-back, and perhaps the best left-back our country has ever produced, is now working as Lee Carsley's assistant, and he has nothing but high praise for Livramento as quoted in The Northern Echo.
"I had the fortune to be around him when he was at Chelsea.
"He was in the 21s in the reserve group. You always see the passion and level he could get to. But of course, there's only a certain level of information we can give him.
"It's down to the players to take on that information, absorb it, and want to learn and listen and develop and get better. He's certainly one of them players.
"I think him getting the opportunity at Newcastle and continuing to play first in football gave him the belief, the confidence in his own ability.
"And of course, a manager that's trusted him to play at such a young age. He had quite a big challenge going to Newcastle. I think he's developing into a top player."
Tino Livramento is learning from the best while on England duty
Tino has been playing at left-back for Newcastle in the back end of the season despite being a natural right-back, but he was so good down that flank that Carsley deployed him there for England, too and he doesn't look remotely out of place with Cole going on to praise his attitude and willingness to learn.
"As coach, you stand on the sideline and see how much information he takes on and takes on board. And I keep saying it, but the willingness to want to learn and be the best, I think is always a great trait to have.
"Whatever level he wants to get to, he can get to because he's got that personality and desire.
"I think he's got a beautiful future, a bright future. Long may it continue that he keeps playing for Newcastle, keeps gaining experience and keeps his levels up."
All of this is just further evidence that Newcastle have to do everything in their power to keep him at the club along with his mate Lewis Hall. That duo could be England's full-back options for years to come.
