Newcastle United fans to face travel chaos later this month as Manchester City clash gets new kick-off time.

Newcastle United make two trips to the Etihad Stadium in February. The first of which is Wednesday night as the Magpies look to overturn a two-goal deficit in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Bearing in mind that Newcastle have never won at Man City's stadium, it definitely feels like we'd have more chance of knitting fog than we have of completing that mission. But it's not over until it's over.

Our second trip is in the Premier League and is on 21st February.

Newcastle's away trip to the Etihad on the 21st February has been pushed back to 8 pm

That game was due to kick off at 12:30 pm live on TNT Sports, but has now been pushed back to the awful 8 pm slot instead.

This time it's not at the behest of the TV Overlords, but the reason given, as confirmed by the Newcastle United website, is that it's to give Newcastle's players a few extra hours, given that they'll have made a 5000-mile round trip in midweek to take on Qarabag in the Champions League play-off.

We're sure those extra seven hours will make all the difference.

TNT Sports aren't totally blame-free

It means another late one for the travelling Geordies who had to go through the same at the weekend when we took on Liverpool in the 8 pm slot on Saturday.

Why they couldn't put the game back to Sunday we don't know. We guess that actually is something to do with the TV Overlords and the available slots TNT Sports are allowed to broadcast.

Fun and games again.
