Newcastle United should be moving on to looking for a right winger this summer once the Marc Guehi situation is finalised.
The Magpies appear to be making progress on Guehi which means Paul Mitchell and his team should be making inroads into finding a new right winger to help Newcastle challenge for those top four spots this season.
Noni Madueke is a name that has been bandied about often this summer and talks around the 22-year-old have intensified of late.
Fabrizio Romano has added fuel to the fire with a post on X suggesting that Chelsea are just waiting for a decent bid from Newcastle.
Chelsea are currently trying to bring Joao Felix back to the club despite his less-than-impressive loan spell in the 2022/23 season.
Should Felix arrive, that will really force Chelsea into a position of needing to move players on with Madueke one of those on the chopping block.
Another name mentioned by Romano had us talking in NUFCfeed Towers today - Raheem Sterling.
The question simply is: "Would you take him?"
It sparked a healthy debate with some pros and cons. He's got plenty of Premier League and international experience and is still just 29 so has enough left in the tank to do a job.
However, he's on astronomical wages that Newcastle simply won't go anywhere near, he's been completely Chelsea'd and he runs like a tool.
What are your thoughts? Would have have a cheeky punt on Sterling for a season or two if we could get him on reduced wages? Let us know in the comments.
