Isaac Hayden is having a bumpy ride at Newcastle United lately with the midfielder acutely aware that he is not part of Eddie Howe's plans.

It's all well and good when a player knows they're not wanted, but when their club can't seem to shift them, it becomes an entirely different thing.

What's worse is that Isaac Hayden is not necessarily a bad player. He's put in some magnificent shifts in the black and white, but as seems to be a requirement to play for Newcastle lately, he is very injury-prone.

Hayden has struggled with injuries which have halted his career

These injuries are what's stalled his career more than anything else and the 28-year-old just can't seem to recover.

At the start of the season Hayden moved to Standard Liege on loan and while the stories vastly differ as to why, things just didn't work out for him in Belgium. The Liege boss would have you believe that Hayden failed to live up to expectations, where Hayden himself would tell you that he was frustrated by the fact that he, and many other players had not been paid.

Whatever the reason, the loan agreement was terminated and Hayden returned to Newcastle who were trying to find him another club.

Isaac Hayden has found his third loan club away from Newcastle

Cut to today, transfer deadline day, and Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Isaac Hayden has sealed a loan move to Championship side QPR.

Hopefully, this is the one that sticks and Hayden can regain his confidence and his form, enough that he can seal himself a permanent move away from Newcastle with his contract not up until 2026.

Hayden was the beneficiary of one of the ridiculous long contracts Mike Ashley threw at players and now the current owners have to battle to get these players off the books. Thanks, Mike!
