The fallout from Alexander Isak's summer hissy fit continues to rumble on around Newcastle United as pundits who haven't yet had their voices heard make their bid to do so.

Liverpool fans are obsessively trolling social media to tell Newcastle fans to 'move on' and 'get over it', which is rich considering many of these people are popping up in Newcastle United Facebook groups.

In fairness, as a club and as a supporter base, we have moved on, we're looking forward to what's to come from Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade, but that doesn't mean we'll forget what happened.

We need to keep that flame alive for the first time we're coming face-to-face with Isak at Anfield.

Isak has found the net for Liverpool but he was less than useless on Saturday

Chris Waddle says Newcastle deserved better from Alexander Isak

Keeping the fire burning this time around is former Newcastle and England star Chris Waddle, who has told Four Four Two he doesn't like this whole 'player power' thing and that Newcastle fans have every right to be fuming.

“I don’t like all this player power, and how he handled himself was poor. If he wanted to leave, he should have made it clear to everybody from the off – I think people would have respected that more. Newcastle fans have every right to be frustrated. He handled it the wrong way.

“It was no surprise to see how hurt [the fans] were by all of it. Isak was absolutely worshipped on Tyneside. The fans stuck by him during his various injuries – and there were a lot of them – and Eddie Howe helped turn him into a world beater. They all deserved better than that.”

Let's enjoy this early misfiring from Alexander Isak at Liverpool because it won't last

There's a spot of schadenfreude going on at the moment as Alexander Isak struggles to get going at Liverpool. He was completely ineffectual against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Unfortunately, we all know that it's only a matter of time before he gets going and we're going to have to brace ourselves for the Scouse onslaught.

Hopefully, by the time he adapts, we'll be flying ourselves and won't even be missing him. Fingers crossed.
