Under pressure Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has made a huge call going into the clash with Newcastle United.
If you wanted to be cynical about things, you could look at ten Hag's decision to forego a press conference ahead of the Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle as a sign that the pressure is getting to him.
Many people believe that the Dutchman's position at Manchester United is under threat and a defeat to Newcastle tomorrow night could seal his fate.
It's no real surprise then that the Dutchman has exercised his right to not hold a press conference ahead of tomorrow's meeting at Old Trafford.
Unlike in the other club competitions on the calendar, managers aren't obliged to hold a press conference before Carabao Cup fixtures.
No doubt ten Hag wanted to avoid all the questions about his future and his job security!
Could it also mean, then, that Manchester United are already up against the ropes and Newcastle can take full advantage tomorrow night?
We have predicted an odd starting lineup for Newcastle, but there's still enough talent to cause this Manchester United side problems. If Ten Hag also changes his lineup again (please start Johnny Evans and Harry Maguire though) then Newcastle should definitely triumph.
We can't help feeling that if Newcastle are the reason a Man United manager gets sacked then we're doing something right.
