Former Newcastle United winger Ryan Fraser is on the move again after leaving the Magpies in 2023 to join Southampton.

The diminutive winger must have wondered what he'd done to deserve his fate when Eddie Howe was appointed Newcastle United manager in 2021 so soon after their famous falling out at Bournemouth.

During the COVID pandemic, Fraser refused to play for Bournemouth and rejected a short-term deal to remain at the club.

Eddie Howe and Fraser promised to put the past in the past when they were reunited at Newcastle, but it didn't take long for the tensions to resurface.

Crikey!

Initially, all looked well between the two, and a comedy duo of Dan Burn and Ryan Fraser entertained the masses walking out side-by-side each week with their monumental height difference giving us all a chuckle.

But soon, the relationship soured and Fraser was banished to the Under 21s, with Eddie Howe issuing a statement saying he only has time for players who are committed to the club.

Eventually, Ryan Fraser moved to Southampton, initially on loan, before the move was made permanent. He has now left the Saints to head Down Under, signing for Australian side Western Sydney Wanderers.

He's probably still not far enough away from Eddie Howe

Yeah, we haven't heard of them either. But we've looked them up, and they are the strongest side in the A-League ... in that they are propping up the rest of the table, sitting at the bottom.

Eddie Howe managed to get rid of Fraser to the other end of the country, and now he's on the other side of the world.

We wonder if that's far enough away from him yet, or if Howe is hoping for a Moon United side Fraser can go to next.
