As much as we hate PSR, we do have it to thank for one of the transfers of the summer, as Newcastle United picked up Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa for just £40 million.

Once thought of as a rising star at Villa, injuries have hampered Ramsey's development, which saw him lose his place under Unai Emery, although the Villans were still reluctant to sell when the time came this summer.

Ramsey has shown early signs of what he can do at Newcastle, having filled in for Joelinton in the game against Leeds United. He was unfortunately withdrawn early after taking a knock, but should be fit enough to be in contention for Saturday's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Journalist Andy Sixsmith recently caught up with Ramsey for an interview for Premier League Productions, and he was very impressed with one particular answer Ramsey gave, taking to social media to tell fans.

Jacob Ramsey feels Eddie Howe will get the best out of him

Sixsmith had just come out of the hotel where the interview took place and couldn't wait to relay what Ramsey had said about Eddie Howe.

“Since Eddie joined Newcastle I haven’t heard one person speak badly of him. In the media he comes across really well.

“I looked at the team and saw Tino [Livramento], Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall - and he’s made them all better players.

“When I found out Eddie Howe wanted me in his team, I immediately thought Eddie Howe will improve me.”

Eddie Howe has an amazing track record when it comes to developing players

It must be a dream come true for players who haven't yet hit their peak when they hear that Eddie Howe wants them at Newcastle.

The aforementioned trio have all become England internationals under Eddie Howe, as has Dan Burn and even Jacob Murphy was being touted for a call-up at one point.

Eddie Howe is unmatched when it comes to developing players. If there are young, hungry players willing to put in the work, Eddie Howe will get results.
