Eddie Howe received X-rated text message from Alan Shearer ahead of Newcastle United's win over Fulham
Eddie Howe sat down with BBC's Football Focus on Saturday before Newcastle United took on Fulham at St James' Park.
The Newcastle gaffer was quizzed about his four years at the club, with Alan Shearer alongside him, also posing the odd question to Howe.
At one point, Eddie Howe joked that if Alan Shearer was fit, he'd be telling him to get his boots on, before going on to indirectly insult the Newcastle legend.
Howe spoke of how good Alan Shearer was, complimenting him on the goals he scored for the Magpies and saying that he used to try and recreate his goals in his back garden.

Shearer quipped, "You're making me feel very old", and then you could almost see Shearer doing the maths in his head. Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Shearer admitted he later sent Eddie Howe a text message putting the record straight.
"I said, when we were doing the interview, he said something in it when we were talking about my goals and he tried to replicate them in the garden when he was a youngster.
"I actually texted him afterwards and said 'f****** hell, Eddie, you're 47. What're you on about man?'
"He said 'yeah, but I used to be in the garden at 18!"

You've got to get up earlier than that to outsmart Eddie Howe, Alan. You should know this.
I'm sure there are people older than 18 who were, and maybe still are, trying to replicate Alan Shearer's greatest hits.
Still, does anyone else have an existential crisis when you think about how many people who go to St James' Park every other week weren't even alive when Alan Shearer was playing for Newcastle? I just grew another cluster of grey beard hairs as I wrote that.
