There are still two games remaining in the Premier League, and in terms of Champions League qualification, a lot can happen, but still, it's time to get voting for Manager of the Season.

The shortlist has been drawn up for the Premier League's Manager of the Season, and Newcastle United gaffer Eddie Howe has made it to the top five.

It's hardly surprising, really, considering the Magpies are two wins away from finishing as runners-up in the Premier League despite having a less-than-impressive start to the season.

Not to mention, Howe has guided Newcastle to their first domestic trophy in 70 years in the form of the Carabao Cup.

Vote for Eddie Howe!

Unfortunately, the EFL Cup win has no bearing on this award as it's purely for Premier League performance, but it will certainly still factor into people's thinking, of that we're certain.

You can vote for Eddie Howe by following this link, with the Premier League website citing the fact that the Magpies have already surpassed last season's points total as a reason to place Eddie on the list.

Howe's side have already surpassed their points tally from last season as Newcastle remain firmly in the hunt for second spot and UEFA Champions League qualification. Howe has masterminded some notable victories over the likes of Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and, most recently, Chelsea, with Newcastle looking to match their best-ever finishing position in the Premier League of runners-up, achieved in 1995/96 and 1996/97.

Can Newcastle fans cause an upset?

If we can get enough Newcastle fans to vote for our fearless leader then he may have a shot at upsetting the apple cart, but let's be honest, we all know this award is going to Arne Slot for lifting the Premier League title in his first season in the Premier League with a squad he inherited.

The other nominees are Thomas Frank, who has done a great job with Brentford yet again. Nuno Espirito Santo has had an amazing season with Nottingham Forest, but they have fallen off a cliff when it matters. And finally, there's Vitor Pereira, who took over at Wolves in December when they were 19th in the table and turned them into one of the league's most in-form sides.

Eddie Howe could still guide Newcastle to a second-place finish after taking almost a month out with pneumonia. Could Arne Slot have done that? Nah! Get voting for Eddie Howe!
