Eddie Howe faced the media this morning ahead of Newcastle United's clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle will be looking to extend their unbeaten run at the start of the season despite not having played anywhere near their best in any game so far this campaign.
Fulham, meanwhile, have had a mixed start to the season with their last game resulting in an epic penalty shoot-out in the Carabao Cup which they lost 16-15 to Preston North End.
One thing that could make things a bit less daunting for the hosts is that reports came out on Thursday that Alexander Isak had picked up a fresh injury and is now a doubt for the game.
Isak was already touch and go after taking a whack to the face on Sunday and being hooked as a result, but now he's picked up a toe injury in training.
Eddie Howe told the press this morning (via The Chronicle) that he still doesn't know if Isak will be fit for tomorrow.
"He took a knock to his foot. We'll find out more today and make a decision. Hopefully it's not too bad."
You never really know how to take it when Eddie Howe talks about injuries, he's not exactly a reliable source.
Isak could be back in the starting lineup tomorrow or missing for the next six months. You just never know with Howe.
If Isak doesn't pass the fitness test then it's going to be interesting to see what Howe does with the team. Whether Anthony Gordon is made to play through the middle, or he hands a debut to new signing Will Osula.
