Newcastle United host Fulham at St James' Park in a classic Premier League 3pm kick-off.

After bouncing back from defeat last week with a win over Southampton, Eddie Howe has stuck with the same starting eleven that got the job done on the south coast.

There was the potential for Howe to change things up by bringing Nick Pope back into the fold at the expense of the in-form Martin Dubravka.

Similarly, Sven Botman could have replaced Fabian Schar at the back, but Howe has opted to keep the same starting lineup, and honestly, that makes sense to us.

Nailed it

Eddie Howe has gone with the same team as last week

We expected Howe to leave things as they were as he so often likes to do after a win. The only change is of course that Miguel Almiron has now left the club, so Emil Krafth comes in on the bench.

It's a team that should make light work of Fulham, on paper at least, however, as the saying goes, games aren't played on paper.

Newcastle owe Fulham one after being thumped 3-1 at Craven Cottage.

Fulham's side looks pretty strong

Meanwhile, Marco Silva has Emile Smith-Rowe in his lineup who scored against the Magpies in the 3-1 battering as did Raul Jiminez who also starts. The other goal scorer on that day, Reiss Nelson is injured.

Former Newcastle target Sander Berge starts as does another former Toon target, Joachim Andersen.

Antonee Robinson has been in banging form this season too and will be one to keep an eye on, but overall, as we said, we should be turning these over with little problem. Famous last words.
