Eddie Howe make several changes as Joelinton returns to lineup - Newcastle United team news to take on Burnley

Newcastle United take on Burnley at Turf Moor tonight with a 7:30 pm kick-off live on Sky Sports Tennis (not a typo).

The Magpies are hoping to see out the year with a win that will be only their second away win of the current campaign.

Three points would set Newcastle up nicely for a big January where we could see Eddie Howe's men go on a run of picking up points and finally climbing out of the wrong half of the table.

Newcastle are on a run of seven consecutive wins against Burnley in the Premier League, which equals a record that has stood for 124 years, a win tonight would see Eddie Howe notch another record as Newcastle manager. We shouldn't need an incentive like that, but it's good to have something.

The team Howe has gone with tonight should enable that victory, on paper at least.

Eddie Howe is bringing the attacking thunder with Harvey Barnes starting on the right and Anthony Gordon on the left, with Yoane Wissa starting in attack as we suspected.

Joelinton did come in to replace Jacob Ramsey, something we thought might happen, but we went with no change in our prediction.

Martin Dubravka starts in goal for Burnley, as does former Toon target Armando Broja, while Kyle Walker also starts for the Clarets.

Again, on paper, this should be an easy night for the Toon, but that away form curse is still hanging over us, so what happens is anyone's guess.
