Eddie Howe is currently in Germany with the Newcastle United squad undergoing pre-season training at Adidas' World of Sports HQ.

The Newcastle boss is the subject of intense speculation right now after Gareth Southgate left his role as England boss yesterday.

Howe is a lot of people's first choice to take over from Southgate and the media speculation is relentless, but looking at Newcastle United's latest training gallery, you'd be forgiven for thinking he knew nothing about it.

The players and staff all seem to be in good spirits including Eddie Howe himself who was snapped smiling and laughing on a couple of occasions.

Jacob Murphy celebrating a two-yard pass or something

Eddie Howe looks as if he's blissfully unaware of all the speculation

Granted, these could be carefully curated photos by the club, and let's be honest, they probably are, but still, you can't fake that smile and it's clear that Eddie Howe is still loving life at Newcastle.

Not as much as Jacob Murphy whose enormous maw is once again on display as he celebrates some minor training achievement in typical Murphy fashion.

We also got a glimpse of 17-year-old Trevan Sanusi who Newcastle snapped up from Birmingham City amid huge interest. The winger impressed for the youth side last season and has been rewarded with a spot in the Germany training camp.

Alexander Isak and Joelinton pose with Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden

Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden paid the Newcastle lads a visit

There's a nice shot of Eddie Howe with Darren Eales and Jamie Reuben having a laugh with representatives from Adidas as well as a posed photo with Joelinton and Alexander Isak on either side of Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden.

It looks like things are going great out there in Bavaria despite all the media frenzy back home.

Now we just need all this Eddie Howe speculation to end and a few new faces to join the squad and we can all just relax and wait for the new season to come around. Please.
