Newcastle United are heading to the capital tomorrow to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. It's a 7:30pm kick-off live on TNT Sports.

The Magpies are looking to halt the slide after a run of poor results, which included a home defeat to Brentford on Saturday.

Tottenham are going through a bit of a sticky patch of their own, and they have an injury crisis to rival our own, with 12 players expected to be missing for Spurs tomorrow, including the liability that is Cristian Romero, who picked up another red card at the weekend.

If Newcastle's injury concerns were any better, we'd maybe even feel a bit confident about this game, but Eddie Howe's options are limited, and no matter who he chooses right now, they look to be a yard off the pace.

We need Lewis Miley back

Eddie Howe will assess Lewis Miley today, but Anthony Gordon is likely to be ruled out

We are desperate for players to recover and be back in contention, but it sounds like this game may come too soon for both Lewis Miley and Anthony Gordon after Eddie Howe's update in today's press conference.

“Miley I need to see today. We’ll get another update on his progress. He got a nasty bang to his leg, so it was like a sort of dead leg that’s dragged on a little bit longer than we thought. So we’ll see how he is.

“Gordon we’ll make a check on today and see how he’s progressing. Hopefully a big improvement in him.”

We really miss Joelinton

The game will also come too soon for Joelinton, who has missed the last four games with a groin issue, while Fabian Schar and Tino Livramento are still a while away from any kind of return.

Of all the injured players, Joelinton and Tino are the ones we wish we could flick a magic wand at and get them back right now. We're missing that bite in midfield and Kieran Trippier, as much as I love him, needs to be dropped; he just doesn't have the legs.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that Miley could still get the nod, but then the question is, does he replace Trippier or step into midfield? We're desperate for change in both positions. So much pressure on the 19-year-old's shoulders, sorry Lewey.
