Eddie Howe spoke to the media this morning ahead of Sunday's trip to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Sky Sports televised 4:30pm kick-off.
Howe was asked about any injury updates following the international break where he confirmed that everyone who travelled has returned fit and raring to go.
Attention then turned to those who have been on the treatment table recently with Howe saying that Emil Krafth is back training with the group, however, Joe Willock is still training alone which almost definitely rules him out of making any appearance on Sunday.
However, it's a different story altogether with Callum Wilson.
The £20 million signing from Bournemouth is in danger of becoming more famous for his injury record than his actual goal scoring one as Eddie Howe told reporters that Wilson is behind where they wanted him to be in terms of his recovery.
It had originally been suggested that Wilson would return to training ahead of the international break with fans expecting to see him back in action this month but as Howe told reporters this morning (via The Chronicle), he's not had a setback but he's not where he ought to be.
"He hasn't had a setback but he's a little bit behind where we wanted him to be.
"We envisaged that he might be training at this moment in preparation for the game but he's probably a little bit behind."
The reaction online to the Wilson update from Craig Hope on X was to be expected. Many fans wondering why Eddie Howe insists on keeping hold of him.
When he's fit Wilson is a deadly striker, there's no doubt about that, but as we said, he's in danger of being remembered more for the football he's missed than what he's done on the pitch.
Hopefully, this is his only injury of the season and we get to see the best of what he can offer for the rest of the campaign otherwise the club really has to assess his future in January.
