Newcastle United take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at St James' Park - Kick-off is 8pm Live on Sky Sport.

Eddie Howe has made his decision on who is charged with the task of protecting, and hopefully building on the two-goal lead his Newcastle side hold going into the second-leg tie tonight.

To say that fans are nervous would be an understatement, so much is riding on this one game of football.

We expected changes but it looks like Howe hasn't just moved around personnel, he's shifted the formation too.

We got this one pretty wrong

Eddie Howe has changed the formation for this one

Howe resisted the temptation to recall Nick Pope and has stuck with Martin Dubravka between the sticks.

In defence, it looks like we're going with three centre-backs as Sven Botman, Fabian Schar and Dan Burn all play, while Kieran Trippier replaces Tino Livramento as he and Lewis Hall look set to play as wing-backs.

Joelinton doesn't make the squad at all, which leaves Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes in the middle supporting the front three. We believe they will set up as a 3-4-2-1

Arsenal have lined up with their strongest available XI

It's a bold move changing the formation in such a big game, so hopefully it's one that pays off.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has obviously gone with his strongest possible XI.

The nerves are really starting to kick in now. HOWAY THE LADS!
