Earlier today, it was reported that Anthony Gordon would be fit again in time for the clash at The Etihad on Saturday as Newcastle United take on Manchester City.

The Daily Mail reported that the injuries to Sven Botman, Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon weren't as bad as first feared, with Gordon likely to be fit enough to take part on Saturday against the Premier League champions.

The game will likely come too soon for Burn and Botman, but both are expected to be back in time for the Carabao Cup final at Wembley next month.

Now the club have released their usual training gallery in which Anthony Gordon has been heavily featured, suggesting that the winger will indeed feature on Saturday.

Anthony Gordon is back in training for Newcastle

Gordon missed the FA Cup game against Birmingham with a quad problem, but thankfully, it seems that he's ready to go once again.

Indeed, Gordon is the first player you see when you click into the latest training gallery, and the former Evertonian is seen several times throughout.

There's no sign of either Sven Botman or Dan Burn, but that's not to say they weren't training, too. Sometimes, when players are doubtful for the weekend, the club will keep them out of the training ground photos to keep the opposition in the dark.

Sean Neave was spotted training with the first team

Callum Wilson also features heavily with the striker back on the goal trail after spending much of the season on the sidelines.

Youngster Sean Neave, who made the bench for Newcastle at Birmingham, is once again training with the first team and can be seen having a tussle with Lewis Miley.

Also, is it just us, or is Anthony Gordon trying to channel his inner Barry Venison with this hairdo?
