Eddie Howe is due to speak to the media this morning out of the new-look media room which now has mics for the reporters so we'll finally be able to hear the questions being asked.
The entire media suite has been given a makeover with a new podium and screen for Eddie Howe and whoever joins him on the day.
There are also rows of mic'd up benches for the reporters where they can plonk their laptops and fire their questions at the gaffer.
Flanking the podium are two pull-down sponsorship screens with the one to the right of the podium displaying a few new names.
Adam Hall noted on X that Banco BPM (Italian banking group), MSC cruises (owned by Italian billionaire Aponte family) and Konami (huge Japanese games company) all appear on one of the banners.
Newcastle never stop looking for new commercial partnerships and while it's entirely possible these new additions are purely for the Sela Weekender, they are still interesting businesses to be tied to.
If these deals are only for this upcoming weekend, it could be the start of longer-lasting partnerships.
It's worth noting that Newcastle still don't have a training gear sponsor, nor does there seem to be any movement on stadium sponsorship, so these could be gateway deals for one of those.
We're probably just putting two and two together and getting blue again, but it's worth thinking about.
More importantly, though, we can't wait to actually be able to hear what question Eddie Howe is responding to. Welcome to the 21st Century, Newcastle United.
