Newcastle United made it five wins in a row in all competitions on Sunday after sending Manchester United fans back to London under a cloud after battering them 4-1.
Four of the five games were in the Premier League, but of course, the outlier was the Carabao Cup final at Wembley where Newcastle got their hands on silverware for the first time in over 50 years.
As much as the fans are still celebrating that victory, Dan Burn has told The Chronicle that Eddie Howe told his players that they 'can't dine out on that forever' and it seems the players have definitely taken that on board.
Newcastle are currently in the driving seat in the tight race for the Champions League places, and a win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night would put a bit of daylight between the Magpies and the chasing pack.
Dan Burn was asked if he was keeping an eye on the Premier League table with so much riding on the final league positions.
"I'd be lying if I didn't. I try not to look at the league table, but at this stage of the season, everybody looks at it.
"We know we have the game in hand against Palace. It is massive, Palace are high in the form table and started well against Man City so it will be a tough game."
Burn went on to acknowledge the struggle Newcastle had at the start of the season when the results just weren't coming compared to how things are going now with the team looking like they could snatch third place.
"We started the season and got results without playing well then we had a bad patch. To be in and around this with seven games to go and picking up the momentum we are really hitting form at the right time.
"We've got tough games left don't get me wrong but we don't fear anybody. Hopefully we will get it done."
Newcastle's task of qualifying for the Champions League has been made easier following the confirmation that the top five will nab a place in the competition. They've also been helped by teams around them dropping points lately.
If we can continue this fine run of form, there'll be no catching us.
