Chelsea have their eye on Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak and after a £115million plus bid was mooted but today a couple of reports have surfaced suggesting they could look to do swap deals.

Quite how Chelsea are in any position to sign anyone of Alexander Isak's quality and value when they are at the absolute limits of PSR is anyone's guess but they keep getting away with it and they keep spending.

It seems they've conceded to the fact that they can't afford a cash offer for Isak so they're looking at swap deals.

The most reasonable of which seems to be the idea of throwing in Nicolas Jackson as a way of driving down the price as reported in TeamTalk.

Isak will be staying put

Chelsea want to offer three players in Isak swap deal

Jackson looked to really struggle to get to grips with the Premier League last season, though so that should be an absolute non-starter.

However, it was Football Insider who had the best story by suggesting that Chelsea would offer Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah to sweeten the deal.

That's pure desperation right there and also goes a long way to back up my point about Conor Gallagher being pants that he, plus two more players and cash is still only worth as much as one of our players.

Football Insider could be winning the story of the summer award

Football Insider are, at this point, just becoming a parody of themselves with some of the stuff they report, but surely even they must have had doubts about actually publishing that one.

Alexander Isak is very, very unlikely to go anywhere this summer, and as much as the Magpies need to add bodies to their squad, and have shown interest in all of the aforementioned players, we doubt they'll be tempted by that type of offer, especially for someone as integral as Isak.

Still, it was worth a chuckle though.
