Chris Sutton is expecting plenty of goalmouth entertainment as Newcastle United host Nottingham Forest
Eddie Howe's men will look to add to their impressive Champions League victory on Sunday when Nottingham Forest visit St James' Park to take on Newcastle United in a 2pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
For the second time in a week, Newcastle scored four goals in a game, which, given that it was as many goals as they had scored all season before the win over Bradford, is a welcome change of pace.
There's a feeling that things are starting to come together for the Magpies in an attacking sense, which could spell danger for our Premier League rivals.
I said after the defeat to Arsenal that there was a feeling that someone was about to get an absolute pasting, and you could argue that Bradford and Union Saint-Gilloise did get that, but I was specifically referring to the Premier League.
Chris Sutton predicts an easy win for Newcastle United
Chris Sutton has predicted another four goals at St James' Park in his column for the BBC, and while it's not quite the pasting I had envisioned, we'll certainly take what Sutton is offering.
"Newcastle scored four goals in Belgium in midweek - the same number as they have managed in their first six league games.
"Eddie Howe's side are the joint lowest scorers in the Premier League, along with Villa and Wolves, so getting a big win like that will be important for them.
"They have lost twice at home already, but that was to Arsenal and Liverpool, and on both occasions to late goals.
"Yes, the Gunners were the better team on Sunday but Newcastle had lots of chances against Liverpool so they can definitely feel a bit hard done by.
"I am expecting them to get more chances here, because I think this game will be really open with both teams going for it.
"I am going to go with Newcastle to be wearing their shooting boots again, and keep Ange Postecoglou waiting for his first Premier League win.
"Sutton's prediction: 3-1"
Nottingham Forest aren't in a good place right now
If the game doesn't end up being a blinder, I take full responsibility. I was originally going to miss the game, which means it would have been an absolute classic, but now plans have changed and I will be casting my beady eye over the game.
Sutton's prediction doesn't seem like too much of a fantasy, though. The Forest fans are already turning on Postecoglou, and he's barely even unpacked the boxes in his new office, so the Magpies could take full advantage of that friction.
It has to be three points staying at St james' Park on Sunday. We said after the USG win that the season starts now, and a win has to follow a statement like that.
