Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca identifies Newcastle United's danger man besides Alexander Isak ahead of Sunday's game

Enzo Maresca will bring his Chelsea side to St James' Park on Sunday for a 12:00pm kick-off live on TNT Sports.

With three games to go, nothing will be decided in the race for the Champions League this weekend, but given how close Newcastle and Chelsea are, Sunday's game is massive in dictating how the final table will look.

Tied on points and with the same goal difference, a draw seems like the most likely outcome, but where would the fun be in that?

We have no idea how this game is going to play out, whether it will be cagey and awkward or open and free-flowing as both sides go for the win.

Enzo Maresca is very familiar with Sandro Tonali

Naturally, neither manager has given much away in their pre-match pressers, but Enzo Maresca has identified two Newcastle United players who could make a huge difference for the Magpies in the game.

“I think Alexander Isak is a top player but Newcastle United have more players.

“We need to work as a team and we need to stop them as a team.

“Sandro Tonali this season has probably been top for Newcastle. He is doing very well, he is a fantastic player.

“I have known him since he was at Brescia and then he moved to AC Milan and now here in England.

“But Newcastle have many good players and we are going to try to prepare the game in the best way that we think we can win the game.”

Newcastle and Chelsea have very strong midfields

There may be a bit of Italian bias with Maresca picking out Sandro Tonali, but he has been absolutely fantastic for Newcastle this season (Yes, he has, Rich!).

Our midfield is our strength, and while Chelsea also has a good midfield, ours is better when everyone is fully fit, which unfortunately ours isn't right now.

We are missing Joelinton, whose absence does take a bit of our strength away. Although we're still hoping that he was in Barcelona getting the injections so that he can play on Sunday. It may be wishful thinking, but let us have it.
