We are heading towards yet another international break this month, and Carlo Ancelotti has got in early with his Brazil squad announcement.

It's mixed fortunes for Newcastle United's Brazilian contingent, with Bruno Guimaraes called up again, but there's no place this time for Joelinton.

Joelinton was called up for the last squad, which saw the Selecao playing in Japan and South Korea.

It wasn't a great time for Joelinton, whose flight to Asia was turned around after six hours due to a fault with the plane, and then, when he was given the nod to play as a substitute, the Toon midfielder failed to impress.

Bruno Guimaraes doesn't have as far to travel with Brazil this month

In truth, Joelinton hasn't done enough for Newcastle to justify another international call-up. The 29-year-old looks to be so far short of his usual levels this season for whatever reason.

The good news for Newcastle with Bruno's call-up is that, unlike last time when he had to jet half way across the world and back again in a week, he has much less distance to cover this time around.

In fact, he doesn't even need to travel to South America with Brazil's training camp set to be in London while both of their fixtures are in Europe, with a game against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium in London, before taking on Tunisia at the Decathlon Stadium in Lille

November will be the last international break until March

That should mean that he'll be much less fatigued when he returns to Newcastle after the next break, and that can surely only be a good thing.

This will be the last international break until March, which is fantastic news for Newcastle, given how much the last one halted our momentum.

Although let's be honest, there's no good time for an international break. If one had come after Sunday's game against West Ham, we'd be complaining that we'd have too long to dwell on that performance.
