Newcastle United take on Eddie Howe's former side Bournemouth on Sunday in the Sky Sports televised 2pm kick-off.

The Magpies have a lot of faces at the club who will be familiar to Bournemouth aside from Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall.

Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson both remain on Newcastle's books after joining from the Cherries, although neither will be involved on Sunday with Wilson being injured and Fraser being cast aside like month-old milk.

There is expected to be one former Bournemouth man at least in the match-day squad, however, Andoni Iraola is hoping he doesn't have a great game.

Andoni Iraola is hoping Lloyd Kelly doesn't return to haunt him

Lloyd Kelly left Bournemouth after his contract expired this summer and reunited with Eddie Howe at Newcastle.

With Fabian Schar suspended, Kelly could be thrown into the starting lineup to make his full Newcastle debut against his old club with Iraola telling reporters (via The Shields Gazette) that Kelly was 'phenomenal' for him last season.

"He was very good for us. Before I arrived and last season he was phenomenal. I wish him all the best. Obviously I don't want him to play well on Sunday but he is a very good defender and it will be tough for whoever he has in front of him."

Eddie Howe could have done with a new RCB for Sunday

Kelly has only a few minutes under his belt for Newcastle so returning to his old stomping ground as part of the starting XI could be a baptism of fire.

Newcastle really could have done with getting the Marc Guehi deal over the line ahead of Sunday's game, although even if he joined this week he may not have been thrown in at the deep end.

It's more likely that Howe will go with Emil Krafth in the right centre-back role over a heavily left-footed duo of Dan Burn and Lloyd Kelly, although there's a chance that Howe could use Kelly at left-back and drop Lewis Hall.
