Newcastle United take on Nottingham Forest at St James' Park on Sunday, with both teams looking to bounce back from defeats.

Eddie Howe will be hoping his players actually turn up on Sunday after they failed to show up at the Etihad on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo's side lost 2-1 to Fulham last time out and will be looking to bounce back, as they have been so good at doing this season.

It's a massive game in terms of the Champions League race, too, especially for Newcastle, who are six points behind third-placed Nottingham Forest.

Chris Sutton expects a Newcastle win on Sunday

Boyhood Nottingham Forest fan Chris Sutton has predicted the score for Sunday for the BBC, and as he says, he hasn't let his heart rule over his head.

"As the BBC's predictions expert I always try to go with my head and not my heart.

"That's what I am doing with this game, which is big for both teams in the battle for the top four.

"I'd love to say my boyhood club, Nottingham Forest, will respond to their defeat at Fulham, but this game is actually quite simple for me to predict because I am expecting Newcastle to bounce back from their woeful performance and result against Manchester City last weekend.

"I just think there will be a big reaction from Alexander Isak, who was kept really quiet by City, and a real response from their whole team.

We want a big reaction from all of our players this weekend

It's not just Alexander Isak who we need to see a big reaction from, it's everyone who stepped foot on that Etihad pitch last week as Manchester City battered Newcastle.

We have to say, it's a bold prediction from Sutton, especially considering Paul Merson's safe approach.

Hopefully, the former Blackburn man has got it right this time.
