Bad news for Newcastle United as extent of Yoane Wissa's injury revealed
Newcastle United made a deadline day signing of Yoane Wissa following a long, drawn-out saga that saw the striker down tools at Brentford to push through a move.
Following the confirmation of his £55 million move, Wissa was off on international duty with DR Congo, where the forward scored two and provided one assist in their two games.
Unfortunately, in the game against Senegal, Wissa was withdrawn after picking up an injury.
It was hoped that it wasn't serious, but Eddie Howe mentioned that Wissa would see a specialist, which rarely ends well.
Newcastle fans have to wait a while to see Yoane Wissa in action
Wissa missed the game against Wolves, and afterwards, Eddie Howe was still waiting to find out the full extent of Wissa's injury.
Later on Saturday evening, news broke that Wissa would be absent for four to five weeks, so we'll not see Wissa in a Newcastle shirt until after the next international break.
Thankfully, Nick Woltemade didn't look out of place in the Premier League on Saturday, scoring a header on his debut.

The German is going to have to work on his fitness, though, after admitting he started to find it difficult late in the game, asking to be subbed off as he was starting to cramp up.
This situation is exactly why Newcastle had to sign two strikers this summer and keep hold of Will Osula.
It's a huge shame that we have to wait so long to see Wissa in action, especially as we backed him to be our primary source of goals.
